I have always maintained that to be, not just good, but exceptional at something you have to be deeply passionate about it. Well, I am deeply passionate about graphic design... and I am really good at it.

My passion for design started early on in life and hasn't stopped growing. I graduated top of my class at the University of Stellenbosch in 2004 and jumped head first into the working world to make my mark. Some of the amazing clients I have had the privilege to work with have included the World XV Rugby Team, designing their international logo, the Lions Rugby Team, including redesigning their Super14 logo, Nu Metro Cinema's new branding and working with some of the biggest corporates in South Africa, including BMW, Nashua Mobile, Anglo American, Bluebean, Old Mutual and Deloitte, just to name a few.

The experience that I have accumulated ranges from pitching for large Government contracts to working on a campaign for The Freedom Park, a heritage site which Nelson Mandela created in South Africa. I handle everything from liaising with clients, design and layout, to ensuring a successful print campaign because of my advantage of working closely with a leading print company in Johannesburg. This has lead to my gaining valuable experience in the ability to prepare files for print, without any problems, and understanding the practicalities of print.

After 5 years of hard work and countless formative experiences in the corporate graphic design world, I decided it was time for a change. I have always wanted to try my hand at freelance graphic design and with all the experience that I have gained in the dynamic graphic design studios that I have worked for I felt that it was finally time to take the plunge.

Sugar + Spice Design grew out of a desire to create beautiful, fun and thought-provoking design, that will appeal to both the corporate and independent business world.
